Overview
Smart pAntrI is a smart pantry management app built for iOS and Android with Flutter. It helps people track what's actually in their kitchen, catch food before it expires, and turn what's on hand into meal ideas — instead of guessing at the grocery store or throwing out forgotten leftovers.
The Problem
Most households lose track of what's in the pantry and fridge until something's already spoiled. Grocery trips turn into guesswork, and meal planning means either overbuying or scrambling to figure out what to cook with what's left.
What I Built
- Barcode Scanning — Scan items straight into the pantry instead of manual entry, powered by on-device barcode recognition.
- Expiration Tracking — Local notifications warn before food goes bad, so nothing gets forgotten in the back of the fridge.
- Recipe Suggestions — Recipes generated from what's actually in the pantry, reducing food waste and grocery runs.
- Meal Planning — Plan meals ahead and automatically build a shopping list from what's missing.
- Shopping Lists — Synced lists that update as pantry stock changes.
- Freemium + Pro — Core pantry tracking is free; Pro unlocks the full recipe and meal-planning feature set via in-app subscription.
